Music has the power to bring back memories, mark important moments and connect generations. This collection celebrates the unforgettable performers whose voices, songs and personalities have left a lasting impression on music and popular culture.ART CREATED WITH A BLADEThese portraits are created using a distinctive form of scratch art that I call Bladeworx.I begin with a dark scratchboard surface and use a blade to carefully remove the black coating, revealing the light layer beneath. Instead of drawing dark lines onto white paper, I work in reverse—bringing each face out of the darkness one highlight, strand of hair and carefully scratched detail at a time.Every mark is made by hand. The portraits are not created with artificial intelligence, a digital filter or an automated process. Each piece requires patience, close observation and many hours of detailed work.
Each scratch-art portrait is finished with a custom border that I design in Photoshop. Inspired by the musician’s personality, style and legacy, the border reflects the spirit behind the artist and gives each portrait its own distinctive character.THE FACES BEHIND THE MUSICI have always been fascinated by faces and the stories they tell.
